Letter from the Building Committee

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

Our church is facing the greatest challenge since it was founded 84 years ago.

We signed our contract with Primrose Construction, Inc. in 2006 with high hopes and expectations that we would be in our new church within the year.

It was never expected that Primrose would abandon construction and perform defective work. To date we have paid more than $800,000 to correct their construction defects. We have also paid more for materials and labor than what we would have paid when the project started in 2006. Together these additional expenses have added more than $1,200,000.00 to the construction cost for the church.

We could not have undertaken building our new church without the pledges which were made during our initial Fund Drive. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. For those who have made a pledge, we ask that you consider increasing and extending your pledge We are also asking those who have not made a pledge to do so now during our CAPITAL FUND DRIVE Payments that we can make for construction costs from our own funds will lower the amount we have to borrow from our bank Without additional pledges and contributions, we currently have to borrow in excess of $2,000,000 to complete construction.

God has given us a big challenge. How we answer that challenge is a test of our faith and resolution We realize that these are difficult economic times but we are also asking you to search your heart and make a commitment to our church.

Donations above the $2,500 Supporter level will be acknowledged on a plaque located in the church. We will also recognize special donations in memory or in honor of your loved ones.

Please pledge any amount you can afford by returning a completed Pledge form to the church prior to December 15, 2008. Now with your financial support and God's help, our community can plan to celebrate Holy Pascha in Easton on April 19, 2009.

Scrisoare din partea Comitetului de Constructie

Dragi enoriasi si prieteni,

Biserica noastra trece prin cea mai mare încercare de când a fost fondata acum 84 de ani.

Noi am semnat un contract cu Primrose Construction, Inc. în 2006 cu mari sperante si

asteptari ca vom fi în biserica noua într-un an de zile.

Nu ne-am asteptat ca Primrose sa abandoneze lucrarea si sa efectueze lucrari defective.

Pâna la data aceasta am cheltuit peste $800.000 ca sa corectam defectele de constructie.

De asemenea am platit mai mult pentru materiale si mâna de lucru decât am fi platit daca

proiectul era început în 2006. Împreuna acestea au acumulat cheltuieli aditionale mai

mult de $1,2000.00 la costurile de construtie a bisericii.

Nu ne-am fi putut apuca de cladirea noii bisericii fara de promisiunile financiare si

donatile care s-au facut în prima faza a Apelului de fonduri. Pentru care va multumim din inima. Pe cei care au facut promisiuni, noi îi rugam ca ei sa considere sa mareasca si sa extinda aceste promisiuni. De asemenea rugam ca cei ce nu au facut promisiuni financiare sa o faca acum, la Apelul Capital de Fonduri . Platile facute pentru constructie din propriile noastre fonduri va scadea suma care va trebui s-o împrumutam de la bancä. Fara promisiuni financiare aditionale si donatii va trebui sa împrumutam în exces de $2,000,000 ca sa terminam constructia bisericii.

Dumnezeu ne-a dat o încercare mare. Cum vom raspunde acestei încercari demonstreaza

credinta si rezolutia noastra. Ne dam bine seama ca acum sunt timpuri financiare dificile

dar va rugam ca sa va cäutati în inima voasträ si sa faceti o hotarâre ferma de a ajuta

biserica noastra. Donatiile peste $2,500, peste nivelul de suporteri vor fi recunoscute permanent pe o placa localizata în bisericä. Vom recunoaste si donatiile speciale în memoria cuiva sau în onoarea celor dintre cei dragi.

Va rugam sa faceti o promisiune a unei oricarei sume ce o puteti face si sa completati

formularul alaturat si sa-l timiteti pâna în Decembrie 15, 2008. Cu suportul Dvs. si cu

ajutorul lui Dumnezeu, comunitatea noasträ p1anuieste sa sarbatoreasca Sf. Pasti în

Easton în Aprilie 19, 2009.

Programul de promisiuni de 5 ani la Fondul de cladire

Faza capitala

Va rugam sa luati nota de angajamentul meu/nostru de contributie la fondul de cladire de cinci ani, faza capitala. Se subîntelege ca obligatia facuta mai jos trebuie platita la fondul de cladire al Bisericii înainte de Ianuarie 1, 2013.

Contribuitorii peste nivelul de SUPORTERI vor fi recunoscuti pe o placa comemorativa care va fi instalata permanent în vestibulul bisericii noi. SUPORTERII vor fi recunoscuti în listele publicate în buletinul parohial.
