Ladies’ Auxiliary
Reported by Ann Nastu, President

Many thanks to Veronica Stilu (for the second Liturgy), and Jeffrey and Kathleen Gombos, Nora Hoag, Anne Nastu, George Ghitsa (for the first Liturgy), who made the bread for the month of September. If you would like to bake and donate the church bread in the future, please call Psa. Mariana Coca.
The First Autumn Festival of our church took place on Saturday, September 25, on our parish grounds. Even though it was the first time that we held a mini-Festival, it was a very successful event for our parish. We thank all members of our church who were very actively involved in this social event. We especially thank the chairpersons, Ovidiu Ocrain and Patti Johnson, and the president of our Ladies’ Auxiliary, Ann Nastu. More details will be given in the next bulletin.
We are very glad that many members of our parish sponsor the coffee hour on Sundays after the Divine Liturgy. Please remember there is no “clean up crew.” If you sponsor the coffee hour, your responsibilities include
preparing and setting up before hand, and cleaning up afterwards.
The Ladies’ Auxiliary always welcomes new members. Please join our hardworking organization.

Choir members are always needed! If you can carry a tune, please join. We need pajamas by the end of November or donations accepted. Please see Audrey Fatsy.
Don’t forget our military also. Military donations are still needed on going until our troops come home. Please give generously of the goods needed. Thank you.

MILITARY GOODS DRIVE
The military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan are in need of the following items: ICED TEA, CRYSTAL LIGHT, BODY WIPES, SUNBLOCK, BODY WASH, BEEF JERKY, PEANUTS, OATMEAL (INSTANT) and GRANOLA BARS.
The water there is so foul that they put iced tea and Crystal Light mixes in the water to make it more palatable. Please bring these items to church and put them in the box in the vestibule. See Audrey Fatsy for more information. Thank you!

SUPPORTERS OF 488 SPORT HILL RD.

The following parishioners are contributing on a monthly basis to assist with the expenses of our property located at 488 Sport Hill Road:
George Fatsy $100.00
William Balamaci $100.00
Sam Giavara $200.00
Robert Nicola $200.00
Ted Schuster $200.00
Fr. Cornel Todeasa $39.00
Betsy Cipu $21.00
The 488 Sport Hill Road property was mortgaged for $412,500 to secure funds to complete our Church. The rental income we receive does not come close to meeting the expenses for the property (including the mortgage payment, real estate taxes, insurance and maintenance). The current contributions, while assisting the reduction of the monthly shortfall, are not adequate to meet the entire shortfall. The remaining shortfall is paid from church income.
We are seeking other parishioners to become Supporters of 488 Sport Hill Road. There is no requirement to make a minimum contribution. Any contribution you make will be gratefully accepted and greatly appreciated. It is not necessary to commit to a set period of time.
Any help that you can provide will assist in ensuring that 488 Sport Hill Road will carry itself and that church income will be used to meet the expenses and costs of operating our Church. Your contributions will be recognized as a charitable donation and confirmation of your donation will be provided to you annually. Your support will also be acknowledged in our church bulletin.
Please contact Ted Schuster by e-mail at:

or by telephone at 203-264-9409
if you would like to become a 488 Sport Hill Rd. supporter.
